Reported Problem – The password to the Voice Mail on the ViOP Phone not known or is not working.
Tier1 or Tier2 Support:
FAST Discovery:
- Get the Community Name and Number.
- Ask what extension they use in that office.
Resolution Steps:
- Log onto Virtual Office Account Mgr.
- Click on Phone System on the toolbar.
- In the Quick Find / Edit Extension type the extension number the client just gave you and click the Search button.
- Click on the Edit link when the search is completed.
- The Voice Mail Password is by default the last 4 digits of the phone number for their direct line.
- Copy the last 4 digits of the phone number for their direct line into the Voicemail Password under the Voicemail Settings Drop-down Bar.
- Click on the Save button.
- Remember to tell the client not only the password but tell them the direct number as well. Use the Resources bellow to further assist the client.
